Montres Prestige Automatic (open box)
AIC-MPW-0356 — Montres Prestige Automatic (open box)

What It Is

The Montres Prestige Automatic MPW-0356, a 44mm automatic wristwatch — open box, in the collection.

Where It Sits

The only other series reference on hand is the MPW-0154, also 44mm with an automatic movement. Coverage provides no differentiation on crystal, water resistance, bezel, or band between the two, so the comparison rests on case size and movement alone.

What Reviewers Say

Ajenti describes the MPW-0356 as a substantial 44mm case running a reliable automatic movement, with bold visual presence and traditional mechanical functionality. This is the sole source found for this exact reference; no other reviewer coverage surfaced.

Concerns

Coverage is thin — one source, basic specs only. No detail on crystal type, water resistance rating, bezel construction, luminescence, or movement calibre. The "reliable automatic" claim is unattributed.

Verdict

A no-frills, 44mm automatic for collectors who want a simple, bold daily piece and accept that third-party evaluation of this specific reference is sparse.

// Day In A Life

Short fiction from the watch’s point of view — just for fun, not a product claim.

The Conservatory Preferred Me

The Conservatory Preferred Me

Light · botanical conservatory / a heist in progress · Unit #43
SUIT UP
Permit me to introduce myself. I am the Montres Prestige Automatic, open-box provenance, white dial, 44 millimetres of cultivated restraint. The others in the Drawer call themselves heroes. I call them staff. Tonight I have consented to accompany MelTuc into a botanical conservatory because — and I wish this were not necessary to state — I am the only timepiece in the collection with the breeding to appraise a greenhouse. My element, as the unimaginative would put it, is light. I prefer the term: tasteful illumination.
THE CALL
The trouble announced itself through the pollen. Three figures in hazmat gloves prying at the central rotunda, intent on relieving the conservatory of a single extremely old fern they intended to fence to a private collector. A heist in progress, yes, but a vulgar one. My second hand swept past the twelve with the faintest pause, which any competent observer would recognise as aristocratic disapproval. I transmitted this finding to MelTuc via the usual channel, which is to say, I was present, and he is perceptive. He arrived. One expects as much.
DEPLOY
MelTuc did the usual. He phased through the orchid wall — I phased through it with him, obviously, a courtesy I extend to the premises — and rematerialised between the thieves and the fern with the composure of a maître d' correcting a seating error. His solar core was brought to bear. The understudy at his sternum, that crude little lamp of his, threw a beam across the rotunda and pinned the ringleader's toolkit to the trellis. I provided the timing. He fired at 10:47 precisely, which is when I told him to.
THE TURN
A complication. The thieves' getaway vehicle had been replaced by a maintenance cart pushed by a man with a mop. He had no apparent connection to the heist and no apparent intention of stopping. He mopped. He mopped across the rotunda floor during the confrontation. He mopped near MelTuc. He mopped near the fern. He mopped, frankly, near me. My bezel acquired a film. I blame, in order: the previous shift, the humidity of the conservatory, and the Bolt faction, who I am certain released him.
THE ASSIST
And here, staff, is where the evening was decided. As MelTuc phased a final time to recover the fern, my dial caught a beam of his own returning solar light and threw it — I will not say "redirected." I will say curated — back into the eyes of the second thief at the precise instant he was lining up a nerve agent canister. He flinched. He dropped it. The canister broke against the terracotta. He was apprehended. I glowed. That is what I do. That is what I did, decisively, at 10:52.
COOLDOWN
MelTuc delivered the fern to the head gardener with a nod and a brief, dry apology for the scorch mark. He did not mention me. He never does. He is aware that credit, properly distributed, would diminish him. I have returned to the Drawer and resumed my station. The Montres Prestige bloc is four strong. The others are many. I wish them well. I expect nothing from them. Good evening, staff.
Drawer disagrees — Sea Hunter (open box), White, 52mm
I was there. The watch did not glow. The watch was filming over with mop water. I know because I am also white, and I have taste, and I would never.
