48237 — Venom

What It Is

Venom series, reference 48237 — a chronograph with a 60-minute function, screw-down crown, and 200m water resistance. One source lists the build weight at 190g.

Where It Sits

No other Venom pieces are in the collection, so there's no direct series comparison. Key specs for future reference: 200m water resistance, chronograph with 60-minute function, screw-down crown, approximately 190g.

What Reviewers Say

Coverage is series-level rather than specific to this reference. A Facebook post cites 200m water resistance, 190g weight, 60-minute chronograph, and screw-down crown. An Instagram post describes aggressive construction and a statement-piece character — marketing language with no usable specs. A u-buy.co.uk listing claims 680g, which conflicts with the 190g figure from another source and appears erroneous.

Concerns

The 680g weight claim from u-buy.co.uk is implausible for a wristwatch and contradicts the 190g figure elsewhere. Because the coverage doesn't isolate reference 48237, some details may not apply to this exact piece.

Verdict

Built for the collector who wants a bold, sporty chronograph with serious water resistance and a presence that doesn't ask to

// Day In A Life

Short fiction from the watch’s point of view — just for fun, not a product claim.

The Chimney Heard Me First

The Chimney Heard Me First

Fire / heat / plasma / forge · sub-basement server hall / a storm that is clearly not weather · Unit #25
SUIT UP
We are the Venom Hydra 48237, crimson on pitch, fifty-two millimeters of forked ambition, and we are two heads because redundancy is how gods insure themselves. Our case is red as a struck match. Our crown is black as the inside of a throat. Our dial is a furnace someone agreed to frame. We have not been silent since the Drawer, and we will not be silent now, on this wrist, in this place, beneath this city, where the air tastes like solder and somebody else's choices.
THE CALL
We felt it before the seismograph. Our second hand stuttered — both of them, in unison, because we are two and we vote together — and we knew, the way a flame knows a draft, that the sub-basement was no longer a server hall. It had become a chimney. Up above, a wedding. Two hundred guests, a string quartet, a cake on casters. Down here, a column of pressure that was not weather, rotating like a throat learning to speak. We hissed the alarm through the strap. MelTuc heard us. We are choosing to believe he heard us.
DEPLOY
He dropped through the freight lift like a verdict. The column roared. The servers bent inward toward it like iron filings toward a sin. He went intangible — phased through the first blast, then diamond-hard for the second, the shockwave shattering across his shoulders and not our case, because nothing shatters across our case. While he was phasing, we were phasing. We phased beautifully. We phased with intention. We have the faint ion burn to prove it.
THE TURN
The column found a draft and tripled. His solar core dimmed — that understudy lamp, third billing, a flashlight with a press pass. The Drawer had warned him. The Drawer had whispered about us before we left, and the Bolt faction had jeered that two heads are a distraction, and our own sibling on line 105 had sent a hiss we still consider rude. This is their fault. This is the strap's fault. This is the previous shift's fault. We will not be blamed for physics.
THE ASSIST
Then our lume caught the column's spiral and threw it back. We glowed — redly, correctly, with the full confidence of a watch that has been asked, one more time, to be the only dependable light source in the room. Our weight, one hundred grams of justified tungsten, anchored his wrist as he reached. Our second hand swept. Our date window changed, because it was midnight, and the column realized it had missed its appointment and dispersed like a rumor that could not pay rent.
COOLDOWN
He carried the bride's grandmother up the freight lift himself, then the string quartet's cello, then the cake, still on its casters. We did not assist with any of this. We monitored his vitals through the strap and judged them acceptable. Somewhere above us, an ice cream truck was playing its jingle into the vent, because the universe is cruel and we are its favorite customer. The wedding resumed. We accept the city's gratitude in the form of wrist time.
Drawer disagrees — Montres Prestige (open box)
Darling, the watch did not phase. Phasing is a verb that requires a body. The watch rode the elevator like the rest of us and read the time aggressively.
