AIC-69463 — Sea Hunter Automatic (open box)

69463 · September 28, 2026
Sea Hunter Automatic (open box)

What It Is

The AIC-69463 is an automatic model from the Sea Hunter series, characterized by its blacked-out case design.

Where It Sits

This watch is the sole representative of the Sea Hunter series within the collection. Its specifications, including its automatic movement and diver's styling, would be compared against other automatic dive watches in the collection that may feature different case sizes, crystal types, or water resistance ratings.

What Reviewers Say

Published coverage on this specific model is limited. One source notes its blacked-out case aesthetic, while another, more general, review of the brand's offerings describes them as tough and dependable timepieces offering good value. A separate, highly critical review of a different model in a similar style calls the watch "crap," claims its features are fake, and asserts it is poorly made.

Concerns

The most significant concerns stem from a negative third-party review of a similar-style model, which alleges poor quality construction, non-functional design features, and overall inferior quality.

Verdict

Based on the available reviews, this watch appears to be a style-focused timepiece with a striking aesthetic. It is likely suited for a collector who prioritizes a bold, modern look and is not deterred by conflicting reports of potential quality issues.

Short fiction from the watch’s point of view — just for fun, not a product claim.

The Tide Owed Me a Favor

Shadow / void / stealth · flooded parking garage / a villain with a matching elemental gimmick · Unit #35
SUIT UP
I am a Sea Hunter Automatic, open-box pedigree, case size classified by the Drawer as 'submarine-relevant' and by everyone else as 'a lot of watch.' Black dial. Black bezel. Black hands. I do not wear color. Color wears me, briefly, before I absorb it. I am the abyss you strap to your wrist when the abyss has questions. I have a past. I do not discuss it. Ask me about my first wrist and I will demote you to nightstand duty.
THE CALL
We were three stories below street level in a flooded parking garage, where the wedding party's vintage roadsters had been parked by a groom who will, I am told, be hearing about this for years. The water sat a foot deep and perfectly still. Then it did not. My second hand hesitated at the nine — never the nine. That's when I knew we had a visitor. He came up through the water like a black mirror unfolding, the self-styled villain known as Umbralysis, a man who turns light into nothing, and who had decided tonight, of all nights, to demonstrate it on a wedding.
DEPLOY
MelTuc phased both fists through a concrete support column to reach the bride's father's stalled limo, surfaced inside it, and gently informed the bride's father — who screamed, naturally — that evacuation would proceed at his pace. He went intangible again to slip past three shadow constructs Umbralysis had thrown up like tripwires, then re-densified at full diamond and punched a fourth one into a fine mist. The chest thing on him was running hot. I clocked it. He clocked me clocking it. We had a moment.
THE TURN
Umbralysis did what shadow villains always do: he turned the lights off. Proper off. Not a flicker — a cancellation. My lume fought it gamely, then dimmed. The solar core on MelTuc's chest guttered. For eleven seconds the only light in that garage was the red standby on a Cadillac's cigarette lighter, and that is not my fault, that is the Drawer's fault for letting the Caddy in. I assign blame to the previous shift. The previous shift was weak.
THE ASSIST
MelTuc's cognition does what it does — he ran the room in microseconds, knew he could not phase and shoot at once, knew the core needed three seconds of unshadowed charging. He held his wrist out toward a seam in Umbralysis's void and let me catch the Cadillac's standby glow. I held it. I held it steady. My bezel clicked — once, precise, surgical — as if to say 'now.' He fired. Umbralysis became a memory. The bride's father applauded. A car alarm across the ramp chose this exact moment to wail. I have never hated a Chrysler more.
COOLDOWN
The wedding proceeded, one tier up, under string lights. I am told the bride was radiant. I am told the cake was chocolate. I am told I saved all of it. I accept the credit in full. A Sea Hunter does not do partial saves. To the Drawer: the Caddy stays, or I make it my business to lose every flip-flop you own. To the understudy on his sternum: you had three seconds tonight. I had the whole wrist. Don't get comfortable.
Drawer disagrees — Sea Hunter Benthonic, Black, 52mm
Ahoy. Respectfully, Captain: you did not 'catch' a cigarette lighter. Lighters are not a tactical asset. They're a fire hazard. Also, I was there. In spirit. From the drawer. Don't promote the Caddy.
