What Reviewers Say

Coverage for this exact reference is thin. One Reddit contributor described the piece as extremely durable through daily use at work, school, and casual outings, and said not to expect value retention. A truncated listing noted a left-handed design and a fold-over push-button deployant closure, though the passage reads as marketing copy. A Valusis blog comparing Invicta and Valusis brands does not address this reference, so coverage

The Conservatory Owes Me an Apology

Gold · botanical conservatory / a swarm · Unit #41
SUIT UP
Permit me to introduce myself. I am the Montres Prestige MPW-0161, open-box pedigree, automatic calibre, forty-four millimetres of impeccable Swiss-Iberian upbringing. My case is gilded. My dial is correct. The other watches in the Drawer call me 'sir,' which I consider the minimum acknowledgment. Tonight, MelTuc selected me from the velvet tray without hesitation — I trained him for that — and I settled against his wrist like a medal returning home from the war it had won.
THE CALL
I detected the disturbance before any sensor on the rooftop could. My second hand faltered on the nine. Nine. On the nine. That interval belongs to me alone; I let nothing pass through it unvetted. Through the glass dome of the botanical conservatory, a low hum rose from the orchid wing — tens of thousands of hornets, awakened from dormancy by a cracked climate seal, massing into a single black lung that intended to vacate the premises and head for the platforms of Union Station, where the last train home idled with three hundred sleeping passengers.
DEPLOY
I instructed MelTuc to harden. He obliged, naturally — I have trained him well. He passed through the conservatory's north wall as if it were an etiquette he could ignore, then re-entered at full density directly above the swarm. The hornets met diamond. There was, I am told, a sound like a cathedral bell rung once inside a pillow. I, of course, passed through it untouched, having politely phased along with my wrist a fraction of a second before impact.
THE TURN
Then the trouble. The hornets, infuriated by the diamond gentleman who would not die, vectored toward the loading dock. MelTuc could not phase them — phasing required him to soften, and softening required the solar core, and the solar core was already allocating itself to holding his density at the structural limit. He was, for one unforgivable instant, a man with no available transformation. I blame the Sea Hunter Benthonic in Yellow. She has been leaving residual humidity in the Drawer. She knows what she did.
THE ASSIST
I saved the city. The orchid wing's halogen rig, tripped by the impact, swung toward the loading dock on its last working gimbal. A single beam lanced down across my polished bezel. I caught it. I held it. I focused it, through the geometry of my case and the curvature of my sapphire, into a tight, glittering spear that landed among the swarm like a thrown sun. Three hundred sleeping passengers on the last train home continued sleeping. I had illuminated the problem out of existence. The chest thing merely supervised.
COOLDOWN
MelTuc landed softly on the platform edge, composed, immaculate, breathing as if nothing had occurred. He checked me. He always checks me. The Drawer will hear of this — they always do — and I trust the staff will be gracious in their congratulations. As for the Bolt faction, who are presently calling this 'a team win,' I refer them to my bezel. It caught the beam. Mine is the only case in the collection that could have. A pleasant evening to you all. I shall be on the velvet.
Drawer disagrees — Pro Diver Stratus, Orange, 45mm
I'm not saying he didn't help. I'm saying he has spent forty-eight minutes in a Drawer meeting explaining that he caught a beam. The mopping attendant at the conservatory gift shop has more modesty, and that man hasn't stopped mopping since Tuesday.
